Overview
Product information
Propylene, systematically named propene, is a three-carbon alkene used as a major petrochemical feedstock. It is gaseous at ordinary conditions and is commonly transported or stored as a liquefied gas under pressure.
Its largest industrial role is as a monomer and intermediate for polypropylene and other chemicals, including oxygenated and functional derivatives. Purity and impurity profiles matter for downstream processing. The supplied inventory lists 99.5% technical grade, but Hamara should confirm the actual specification before publishing the assay or grade.

General guidance
Handling and storage
Propylene SDS guidance identifies an extremely flammable gas under pressure. Use appropriate gas-handling equipment, keep away from heat and ignition sources and provide ventilation to prevent accumulation. Cylinders or bulk pressure systems should be secured and protected from excessive temperature. Exact segregation, connection and storage requirements must follow the current product SDS.
Applications
Application information
