Overview
Product information
Anhydrous ammonia is a nitrogen-hydrogen compound that is gaseous at ambient conditions but can be stored and transported as a liquefied gas under pressure. It has a strong characteristic odor and readily dissolves in water.
Industrial uses include nitrogen-chemical and fertilizer production, refrigeration and manufacture of additional chemicals. The supplied inventory lists 99.5% minimum liquid ammonia. Because pressure-vessel requirements, purity and supply format are commercially specific, Hamara should confirm the exact assay and form before those details are published.

General guidance
Handling and storage
Anhydrous ammonia SDS guidance requires controls for a toxic, corrosive liquefied gas under pressure. Use suitable ventilation, eye and skin protection and equipment designed for ammonia service. Cylinders or pressure vessels must be protected and stored according to the current SDS and applicable gas-storage requirements, away from incompatible substances and excessive heat.
Applications
