Overview
Product information
Ethylene, systematically named ethene, is the simplest alkene and a major petrochemical feedstock. At ambient conditions it is a colorless gas and is commonly handled as a compressed or liquefied gas within industrial supply chains.
Its principal use is as a monomer and chemical intermediate, particularly for polyethylene and other large-volume derivatives. Polymer-grade ethylene requires tight impurity specifications that are specific to the producer and downstream process. The Hamara inventory lists 99.9% polymer grade, which should be confirmed against the actual supply specification before publication.

General guidance
Handling and storage
Ethylene SDS guidance treats the product as an extremely flammable gas under pressure. Keep it away from ignition sources, use equipment suitable for flammable gases and prevent uncontrolled release into enclosed areas. Gas cylinders or bulk systems should be secured and protected from heat according to the current SDS and applicable compressed-gas requirements.
