Overview
Product information
Acetone is a low-molecular-weight ketone used extensively as an industrial solvent and chemical intermediate. It is a clear, volatile and highly flammable liquid that mixes with water and dissolves many organic substances.
Applications include solvent formulations, cleaning and extraction processes and manufacture of plastics and other chemicals. Technical-grade specifications can vary in water, non-volatile residue and other impurities. The Hamara inventory lists 99.5% technical material, which should be confirmed against the intended commercial specification before the assay is published.

General guidance
Handling and storage
Acetone SDS guidance requires strict control of flames, sparks and other ignition sources because the liquid and vapour are highly flammable. Provide ventilation, avoid unnecessary eye or skin exposure and keep containers tightly closed in approved flammable-liquid storage. Segregate from strong oxidizers and other incompatible substances as directed by the current SDS.
