Dextrin
Dextrins are mixtures of lower-molecular-weight carbohydrates produced by partial hydrolysis of starch or glycogen. PubChem describes dextrin as a group of glucose polymers rather than one discrete compound, so a single molecular formula or molecular weight is not scientifically appropriate for commercial material.

Product information
Dextrins are mixtures of lower-molecular-weight carbohydrates produced by partial hydrolysis of starch or glycogen. PubChem describes dextrin as a group of glucose polymers rather than one discrete compound, so a single molecular formula or molecular weight is not scientifically appropriate for commercial material.
Dextrins can be used in mineral processing as depressants or surface modifiers in selected flotation circuits. Performance depends on source starch, degree of conversion and molecular-weight distribution. Hamara’s “corn/potato source” entry therefore requires confirmation of the actual raw-material source and grade.
