Overview

Product information

Light soda ash is a low-bulk-density commercial form of anhydrous sodium carbonate. Chemically it is the same substance as dense or heavy soda ash, CAS 497-19-8, but the particle characteristics and bulk density differ.

Sodium carbonate is used as an alkaline pH modifier and process chemical in mineral beneficiation and water treatment. Because “light” is a physical-grade designation rather than a separate chemical identity, Hamara should confirm bulk density, particle-size distribution and assay for its 99% powder grade before publishing detailed specifications.
